The ATN2005 tutorial brought delegates up-to-speed with developments in the Link2000+ programme. During the morning there was a briefing on Eurocontrol’s Link2000+ programme, covering the services, systems and the deployment programme for ground and airborne systems over the next two to three years.

In the afternoon FANS-1/A and ATN convergence strategies were outlined and discussed. Finally, the tutorial introduced the LINK2000+ Communications Infrastructure, including VDL Mode 2, the structure of the European VDL Mode 2 service and ground interconnections.
